Box of Rings

Our recent General Collectors Sale has set a new milestone for Cullens of Surrey Auctions, achieving the highest total hammer result in our history.

Featuring jewellery, silver and an eclectic mix of estate collections, the auction attracted established customers and new buyers worldwide, with notable results for both individual pieces and larger collections.

Jewellery and Silver Lead the Highlights

Our antique jewellery auctions and silver auctions continue to draw strong interest, and this sale was no exception.

One client’s collection of 600 gold and silver rings, featuring precious and semi-precious gemstones, achieved a combined £30,200 including buyer’s premium.

Another vendor’s Vintage Georg Jensen Silver Pyramid design 146-piece collection, offered across several lots, raised more than £7,700 including buyer’s premium.

For our family-run auction house in Wallington, these results were a moment to celebrate, and a reminder of the variety of objects and stories that pass through our doors.

Collections Finding Their Next Chapter

Every auction begins with people: families managing an estate, collectors making space, or owners ready to pass treasured possessions to someone new.

Our role is to help those items find the right audience, whether that means a single piece of jewellery, a silver collection or a carefully assembled childhood hobby.

Derrick Hunt, Director of Cullens of Surrey Auctions, said:

“We’re proud of this result and grateful to everyone who trusted us with their items. It’s encouraging to see familiar customers returning and new buyers discovering Cullens from afar. As we grow, we want to keep that personal approach, helping people understand what they have and how we can bring it to market.”

Looking Ahead to November

Our next milestone is the Toy, Model & Trading Card Sale on the 29th November, hosted by Thomas Rose in our first live webcast auction for these categories.

Interest in Pokémon has prompted a significant increase in enquiries and consignments. Highlights include a rare uncut Fossil holographic sheet associated with KB Toys and a complete first-edition Fossil set, alongside LEGO, limited-edition Steiff bears and extensive tabletop gaming collections.

Pre-bidding opens on Friday 20th November, and we look forward to sharing more highlights as the sale approaches.
