Pokémon, LEGO and Miniature Armies: A Big November at Cullens
Some collections bring back childhood memories. Others reveal a hobby that has grown into a lifelong passion. Our next Toy, Model & Trading Card Sale brings both together and marks an exciting first for Cullens.
On Sunday 29 November, auctioneer Thomas Rose will host our first live webcast auction dedicated to toys, models and trading cards. Expect a fast-paced, entertaining sale, with collectors joining and bidding online.
Limited Edition Pokémon Cards Take Centre Stage
Leading the highlights is a rare uncut Pokémon Fossil holographic sheet associated with KB Toys, offering collectors an unusual opportunity to see these familiar cards together in sheet form.
With a guide estimate of £6,000–£10,000, it is a striking centrepiece for the sale. The sheet has visible condition defects and is not offered as mint; detailed photographs and a condition report will help prospective buyers assess it.
Alongside it is a complete first-edition Fossil set, described as near mint, plus a varied selection of complete and part-complete Pokémon sets and individual cards.
Whether you remember opening Fossil packs yourself or discovered Pokémon more recently, there will be plenty to explore.
From teddy bears to tabletop battles
The wider catalogue offers collecting interests of every scale.
A collection of limited-edition Steiff bears sits alongside a substantial selection of LEGO sets, including factory-sealed examples and previously opened boxed sets from an adult collector and builder.
Tabletop enthusiasts can discover a large collection of gaming miniatures spanning Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer 40,000 Epic, with plenty to interest collectors, painters and players.
Derrick Hunt, Director of Cullens of Surrey Auctions, said:
“It’s been exciting to see more collectors discovering Cullens and trusting us with collections they’ve spent years building. Pokémon has brought a real surge of interest, but this sale also shows the variety of collecting from Steiff bears and LEGO to entire miniature armies. We’re looking forward to bringing it all together with Thomas for our first live webcast toy and model sale.”
